The World Map
may assist you to calculate time differences between countries.
To calculate time differences
between countries, locate the time zone for each country by referring to the numbers from
1 to 24 at the bottom of the map. Subtract the lower number from the higher number to find
the difference in hours.
The local time zone reported by your computer is
shown in the first box. Ensure that this is correct otherwise the calculated time will be
incorrect. If you have local daylight saving, correct the local time zone and check the
local daylight saving box.
Select a remote time zone in the second box, and the time in that remote time zone will
be displayed in the third box. Checking the remote daylight saving box will add one hour
to the remote time.
The time displayed is based on your system clock, and is updated each
minute. If your system clock is incorrect, the displayed time will also be incorrect. An
excellent program to set your system clock accurately over the internet is Tardis.
